(\u201c<em>Valeant<\/em>\u201d) intends to acquire the entire 87.2% shareholding from the funds advised by <em>Citi Venture Capital International<\/em> (\u201cCVCI\u201d, through the legal entities <em>Citigroup Venture Capital International Jersey Limited<\/em> and <em>Baltic Pharma Limited<\/em>), <em>AB Invalda<\/em> (\u201cInvalda\u201d), <em>Amber Trust II S.C.A.<\/em> (\u201cAmber\u201d) and certain other persons (together the \u201cControlling Shareholders\u201d) and, following such acquisition, to launch a mandatory takeover offer to acquire the remaining shares in <em>AB Sanitas<\/em> from the minority shareholders (more information is available at: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sanitasgroup.com\/index.php\/news\/news\/the-signature-date-of-the-share-sale-and-purchase-agreement-has-been-corrected\/11468\">http:\/\/www.sanitasgroup.com\/index.php\/news\/news\/the-signature-date-of-the-share-sale-and-purchase-agreement-has-been-corrected\/11468<\/a>), and 8<sup>th<\/sup> June 2011 regarding the submission of the notification about the proposed transaction to the Competition Council of the Republic of Lithuania (more information is available at: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sanitasgroup.com\/announcements\/notification-of-the-proposed-transaction-to-competition-authoritires\/11478\">http:\/\/www.sanitasgroup.com\/announcements\/notification-of-the-proposed-transaction-to-competition-authoritires\/11478<\/a>. <br \/>Today, on July 22, 2011,<em> AB Sanitas<\/em> announces that <em>Valeant<\/em> has received a decision from the Competition Council of the Republic of Lithuania approving Valeant\u2019s intended acquisition without imposing any conditions. <br \/>As announced on 11 July 2011, the notification procedure in the Ukraine is also completed (more information is available at: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sanitasgroup.com\/announcements\/clearance-received-from-the-antimonopoly-committee-of-ukraine-\/11529\">http:\/\/www.sanitasgroup.com\/announcements\/clearance-received-from-the-antimonopoly-committee-of-ukraine-\/11529<\/a>).
