Having entered into new partnerships, BAIP fortified its position in private clouds field

BAIP, a company which specializes in critical IT infrastructure field, has fortified its expertise in private cloud computing field and signed partnership agreements with worldwide leaders in software development for cloud computing and virtual infrastructure management Abiquo and Veeam Software.

According to CEO of IT company BAIP, there is a tendency in Lithuanian market to consolidate IT infrastructure: the majority of companies seek to consolidate and strengthen both their IT infrastructure and e-services provided.

“Considering these needs, we have decided to focus on design and installation of private clouds because currently it adds the most value to state institutions and large businesses. We have analyzed a number of technological solutions and selected just a few most efficient ones, those which allow ensuring individualized and dynamic resource environment of a new quality to consistently consolidate, virtualize and maintain it“ – says K. Tonkunas.

According to him, BAIP cooperation with Digital Science and Computing Center where the company has implemented cloud “manufactory”, which allows comparing and verifying capacities of different cloud computing software, enabled a thorough selection of technology using strict criteria.

According to K. Tonkunas, private cloud architecture is characterized as easy-to-manage, having better control opportunities and secure. It does not require third party support: having employed virtualization, distributed computing opportunities and other tools, IT unit of an organization becomes a service provider which delivers IT services in compliance with business needs of the organization.

Cloud management platform of a new BAIP partner Abiquo allows redesigning virtual environments by using a single easy-to-implement solution with a vast development opportunities. It provides three deployment models according to business requirements: it could be expanded according to the needs of large organizations or deployed in development labs with only a few machines to manage. The platform supports both commercial and open source virtualization platforms.

Abiquo is built on industry standards to operate in conjunction with other management tools, Web services, storage systems and networking. Abiquo products are used by over 2,000  most demanding organizations in the USA, Europe, Australia and Asia.

The other partner of BAIPVeeam Software works with such companies as VMware and Microsoft and develops innovative products for virtual infrastructure management and data protection. Rapidly establishing their presence in the market, Veeam products allow for the clients to reduce costs, minimize risks and ensure virtual infrastructure availability.
