MAXIMA GRUPE IT system is now based on “Microsoft“ solutions designed by BAIP

A centralized IT access rights administration and data sharing system together with modern e-mail technology designed by BAIP is being installed in a retail chain MAXIMA GRUPE, UAB operating in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Bulgaria.

“The aim of the project is to create a unified, renewed and easy-to-manage IT infrastructure including access management of over 5,000 computerized workplaces, centralized control instruments of computerized workplaces and modern e-mail solution“, – said manager of MAXIMA GRUPE IT management center Romas Butkevicius.

According to him, the new technology will assist in ensuring compatibility and in particular security of IT tools used by all the employees in units under MAXIMA GRUPE. It is important to automate information and data sharing processes for the company operating at the international level. In order to create a renewed, unified and easy-to-manage IT infrastructure, MAXIMA GRUPE has announced an international selection of IT service providers.

The project has been successfully implemented within the period of nine months by the winner of the tender Lithuanian company BAIP, which specializes in critical IT infrastructure field, together with its partner global consultations company GlassHouse International.

“A centralized system will make the management and maintenance of prior communications system easier both at the level of ordinary employees and at the level of IT specialists. Now IT infrastructure of MAXIMA GRUPE units operating in four countries will be centralized and unified –  a request from the operator to any other computer will be securely, effectively and rapidly implemented“, – said CEO of BAIP, Kazimieras Tonkunas.

MAXIMA GRUPE IT infrastructure was designed by BAIP according to “Microsoft SCCM“ and “Microsoft PKI“ technologies.

Since the beginning of 2009 BAIP has been delivering an integrated IT maintenance service “CopyPrint” to MAXIMA GRUPE. “CopyPrint“ contributes to savings of up to 30% of costs for office equipment exploitation.
